Bald Eagles

I already shared this on my Facebook page, but wanted to let the rest of the world enjoy.  These are two eagles I spotted in a tree while driving home.  I pulled over to the side of the road to snap a few pictures.

Everyone should get to see a bald eagle up close, at least once in their lifetime.  Aren’t you glad they finally banned DDT?

  1. Very cool. We saw tons of ‘em when we were up in Alaska, of course, but we do, on occasion see them here, generally flying high in the sky. I actually saw one, though, perched on a limb just off the road two miles from here in December.

I love seeing them! It never gets old.

  2. Wow, so they…really look like that.

  3. For many years, there was a woman who would feed the eagles every winter on the spit in Homer, AK. Sadly, she passed before I got a chance to watch her feed them, but the eagles still gather on the spit during winter.

I have a golden or two here. I felt very insignificant the day we were moving in and he flew low to inspect us and what we were doing, as though he were watching the happenings in his territory and approving our move-in.

  4. Yes! The original Angry Birds.

  5. Angry birds: LOL! Magnificent birds!

  6. If I saw 2 bald eagles in a tree on the side of the road I would probably end up crashing my car. I have seen a bald eagle a couple of times but from a distance, a very great distance. Amazing photo.

I love you! Talk to me!
